It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.” ― Leonardo da Vinci
Dr. Gregory Kintzing is a physical therapist native to Shreveport, Louisiana. Greg has worked as a physical therapist and Rehab Director in the geriatric and outpatient physical therapy settings since 2011. He is passionate and relentless in his pursuit to find the optimal resolution to each of his patients’ needs.
Greg earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Biomechanics of Human Movement at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He proceeded to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Greg went on to obtain a board-certified specialty in Geriatrics through the American Physical Therapy Association. He is currently a member of the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.
Greg can evaluate and treat physical impairments resulting in functional limitations related to disease or injury. He assesses joint motion, muscle strength and endurance, cardiopulmonary functional capacity, balance and coordination, components of the nervous system, successful performance of activities required in daily living, and many other aspects of the body that impact daily function.
His treatment techniques include therapeutic exercises, neuro re-education, manual therapy, cardiopulmonary endurance training, gait training, wheelchair training, orthotic and prosthetic training, pain relieving modalities, and training in activities of daily living (ADLs). Greg develops personalized treatment plans based upon each patient’s strengths, weaknesses, range of motion, and ability to function. He also performs frequent re-assessments of the patient and plan of care throughout the course of treatment to ensure optimal function is obtained following the onset of illness or sustained injury.
When Greg is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Carly, and his two sons, Harrison and Hayes. He is an outdoors enthusiast, avid sports fan, and (mostly) successful DIY guy.
