Alissa Nicole (Nicky) Diaz is a passionate and driven occupational therapy practitioner. Her journey in healthcare began when she became a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) in 2018, sparking her desire to further her education and expand her role in the field. In 2022, she received a bachelor's degree in psychology, deepening her understanding of the human mind and reinforcing her commitment to providing holistic, patient-centered care. Now she is a current Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) student at the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM).
With years of experience as a COTA, Nicky has developed a strong foundation in hands-on therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation strategies. Her work in this role solidified her passion for occupational therapy and inspired her to continue her studies in order to take on more responsibility in helping people overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. During her free time she enjoys watching movies, exploring foods from different cultures, and spending time with family.
