Justin Bray OTA

Do the difficult things while they are easy, and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” - Lao Tzu

Justin Bray was born in El Dorado, AR, and has called Louisiana home for about 10 years. A horse-related hand injury and the subsequent hand therapy is what it took to pique Justin’s interest to begin down the path of joining the profession. (He attributes blame to himself, not the horse). He received his Associate of Applied Science degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2011 from Bossier Parish Community College in BPCC’s inaugural class of OTAs.

Justin has rehab experience in a variety of settings including hand therapy, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab, hippotherapy, pediatrics, home health, and outpatient services. He has served as the interim rehab director at the inpatient level and as the equine director of an outpatient pediatric facility that provided therapeutic riding and hippotherapy. He is also proud to have had the opportunity to go back to BPCC as an adjunct instructor for 5 years and continues to love teaching and serving a role on the college’s advisory board for the OTA program.

He has played guitar for over 25 years and still travels back and forth between Shreveport and Arkansas to play with some old friends in two different bands. And, yes, he still loves horses and enjoys riding and going to horse shows with his wife and family.
